Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s. She has received various awards, such as the Golden Globe Award and sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Since the mid 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. The actress has won several awards, among them 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised in New York New York and fostered by an aunt living in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett's mother had split from her father at around five. Bassett and her younger sister then moved to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck in the play Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of being an actor had been born. In 1980, Bassett graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with a degree in African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by The Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main characters in the film Ramonda in the action movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
